The probe into the sudden and strange death of Buruburu man who burnt to death in his car has been finalized.
Government pathologist, Johansen Oduor has ruled out the possibility of Korir’s body being planted in the car for cover up. He intimated that post mortem on the body of the late revealed soot in his lungs, an indication that he was alive at the time of the fire.
“This is not a person who was planted dead in the fire. He was alive when he was burning,” clarified the chief Government pathologist.
Further, Oduor said that the late Korir was alive for a long time before succumbing to the fire. “He inhaled a lot of soot, an indication that he took a lot of time in the car before he died because we saw discoloration of tissues. This happens when you inhale more carbon monoxide,” disclosed Oduor.
Korir’s horrendous death hit Kenyans with a shock so deep. Pictures of the mutilated body 100% burnt did rounds on social media as Kenyans rushed to drive conclusions and make speculation about the possible cause of the dead.
Korir’s vehicle was impounded and sealed off at Buruburu police station after pathologists examined the scene.
