Joho Urges President Uhuru to Consider Lockdown as Corona Panic Intensifies

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has voiced his worries over the Corona Virus pandemic that’s threatening to wreck the world and sweep humanity off the face of this planet.

In a press briefing in Mombasa, Joho said that president Uhuru should enforce a lockdown so as to ensure Corona virus does not spread to other parts of Kenya. According to him, a mandatory restriction of movement will flatten the curve and make the virus manageable and possibly eliminated.

Last week, President Uhuru announced that staff and employees, who were not rendering critical services like healthcare, should stay and work from home. He urged Kenyans to avoid unnecessary movement, a plea that has since fallen on deaf ears.

Some Kenyans have chosen to go about their day to day activities with zero care of the looming danger, exposing their health and that of their families.  This poor social distancing has since seen the number of those afflicted rise to a staggering 16, up from one case announced on March 12th, 2020.

The Corona Virus Cases are expected to continue rising and possibly spiral out of control unless Kenyans heed to the Government’s directive of staying at home and avoiding crowded places. Specialists have noted that the virus does not spread, rather, its spread by people.
